James Stanley started his journey in stand up comedy in 2013 when he was only 16 years old. James was riddled with autism, severe OCD, anxiety, and tourettes but that didn’t stop him from grinding in the Minneapolis comedy scene for sevral years until James was eventually hired as a house emcee at his first club, The Joke Joint. A couple years later, The Joke Joint eventually shut down but James soon found a new home club after Acme Comedy Company took a liking to him and hired him in 2021. James currently is a regular feature at Acme.

James has opened for names in the comedy world such as Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay, Geoffrey Asmus, Kelsey Cook, Chad Daniels, and more. In 2021 James was featured in Comics to Watch MN as well the The Minneapolis Dispatch in 2023 James was seen on the PBS comedy series “Roots of Comedy” in the Minneapolis episode with his friend and fellow MN comic, Ali Sultan.
